Painted Rocks

Rock painting is a local art movement with the goal of spreading happiness and inspiration through the simple gesture of painting rocks and hiding them for strangers to find. You can find these rocks outside businesses, downtown and in the parks. These little art pieces have even been found in bookshelves, trees, and amongst the iconic Grants Pass painted bears statues. When a rock is found you are encouraged to post a picture on the Facebook page, and then you can choose to keep it or re-hide it for someone else.
